Ah, spring, the precursor to summer — how I love it. But with spring comes warmth and sometimes summer-like heat — and heat is the enemy of those of us who have multiple sclerosis.
The other day, I was craving popsicles, and wouldn’t you know it, there are no popsicles on the market that are Paleo-friendly. Easy fix: MAKE YOUR OWN!
So what did Adam and I do? We bought some fantastic popsicle molds on Amazon.com, and I eagerly started coming up with recipes for our treats.
We got these popsicle molds because they’re BPA free and dishwasher safe. I got em in green because I like green!
Strawberry Watermelon Popsicles
The first popsicles that I made were Strawberry Watermelon flavored, because they were nothing but strawberries and watermelon, blended together in the blender and then poured into the molds. They were DELICIOUS.
But today’s breakfast was SOOOOO good!
Fudgesicles
The Fudgesicle!!!!
Last night, I blended 2 bananas, 2 heaping teaspoons of cocoa, and about a half-cup of almond milk. It made 3 absolutely delicious fudgesicles!
Make Your Own Flavor!
The Paleo-friendly flavor combinations you can make with popsicle molds are nearly endless, so long as you’re blending fresh fruit and/or vegetables. Don’t be afraid to be creative and have fun with it! You can have fun with your food all spring, summer, and beginning of fall long! 🙂
