Fuzzy Fingers

Woke up this morning with numbness and tingling in both of my hands. Nothing like fuzzy fingers to start your day.

I think it’s fairly safe to say that between feeling achy and fatigued yesterday and feeling fuzzy today, I’m either sick and fighting off an infection, or I’m having a relapse.

Either way, it’s fun to type!

On the more positive side of things, according to the Wii Fit, I’ve lost 2 pounds! So, week 1 of the diet did good things.

I am determined to keep a good attitude today. I think that’s gonna start with an easy-to-make smoothie.

I’m starting to realize that I like having a smoothie almost every day for breakfast. Sweetness and vitamins in the morning make it easier for me to wake up, and it doesn’t feel like work to “cook” because of the Magic Bullet blender we have. It’s just “put fruit (usually from freezer) in cup, pour juice in it, put top on cup, blend.”

My favorite smoothie is half a mug of strawberries, half a mug of blueberries, and orange juice. It’s pretty inexpensive, because Adam and I bought big bags of berries at CostCo. So for $16 of berries, I have had about a bajillion smoothies. And that’s a technical number that we can all do math by. 😉

Anyway, today I also get to start season 6 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yes, I’m still trying to get through the whole series, but it’s not like I’m sitting here doing a full-time marathon. I only watch 2-3 episodes a day. Still, that’s a lot of silly, campy, vampire and demon fighting action.

Just last night she sacrificed herself for her “sister,” Dawn. I can’t wait to find out how they bring her back. I know that in real life, that’s when the show jumped networks to the CW. I wonder how the show changes. I’m hoping for more Giles and Anya – those two characters are my favorites at the moment.

Other than that, there’s not a whole lot going on here. It’s just a good day to fold laundry and scour the kitchen counters.

Despite having a menu for today, I have no idea what I’m making for supper tonight because, in my awesomeness, I forgot coconut milk at the grocery store, which means that making curry is right out!

I’m sure I’ll figure something out. We have plenty of meat in the freezer. Right now, I’m thinking Paleo Nachos is the way to go, since we have salsa, ground beef, and all the relevant veggies, as well as fixings for Paleo Tortilla Chips.

I hope everyone is having a happy Thursday! Welcome to March, the Good Luck Month! 😀
